SCHEDULE A: PLATFORM DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION 

1. The following expressions shall have the following meanings

Acceptable Use Policy

means the Acceptable Use Policy as may be updated by HATDeX from time to time and made available at http://www.hatdex.org/legal/

Dashboard

the dashboard allowing an Owner to control and manage a HAT such as HAT app (web and iOS)

Fees

the payment for the Software and Cloud Services, Consulting Services and Support Services as set out in a Statement of Work and any other fees, charges, costs or expenses arising under this Agreement

Foundation

the HAT Community Foundation, a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales with company number 9933330

HAT

an Owner’s private microserver data account associated with an individual personal HAT address

Intellectual Property Rights

patents, copyright and related rights, trade marks, domain names, rights in designs, rights in computer software, database right, moral rights, and any other intellectual property rights, in each case whether registered or unregistered and including all vested and future rights, rights to sue and applications for and renewals or extensions of such rights, and all similar or equivalent rights or forms of protection in any part of the world

Membership terms

The terms of membership of the Foundation, as the same may be adopted or changed by the Foundation from time to time

Namespace

refers to an alphanumeric attribute of a data record used for addressing data within a HAT, either directly via an API endpoint, or using Data Debits or Data Bundles. An application is typically assigned one namespace to freely read and write data.

Open Source Software

shall have the meaning ascribed to it by the Open Source Initiative

Owner

an individual provided with a HAT by Provider under this Agreement

PSOP 

Platform Standard Operating Procedures, adopted from time to time by the Platform Council of the HAT Community Foundation and enforced by HATDeX 

2. Unless the context requires otherwise, words denoting the singular include the plural and vice versa. 

3. Any reference to a person shall include an individual, partnership, corporate or unincorporated body
